Carol and JB Visit the Hermitage Museum
Hermitage Museum in the morning. I can’t really do anything to actually touch this glorious place in a n email, but we’ll try. The main building is the imperial winter palace. The building itself it magnificent and art inside is just dessert. I took pictures of some of the art but will just show the building here.

Clock stopped at the time the October Revolution started. October 1917.
Alexander Nevsky’s tomb – it’s silver, but too much to keep it polished. Nevsky was a famous warrior and helped defeat the Swedes in early wars for St Petersburg. And a fancy fireplace.
he Hermitage Museum was in the morning. I have pictures and pictures of the art we saw. Anyone could easily spend days and days here – it’s six buildings – about 3 million possible exhibits. After this, we get on a hydrofoil for a trip to the outskirts of the palace at Peterhof – for a tour of the gardens. See you in the next email.
