Argentina Tours – Getting ready!

Argentina Tours - JB and Carol relaxingin Buenos Aires after arriving

Argentina Tours – our first meal stop at Robertos

Our last day of work before leaving was Friday, December 12.  Hooray!  We just set up this Argentina Tours section and we’re about to clean up from the great pizza we had for dinner. Then, we’ll hit the sack and prepare for Big Saturday!

Of course, Big Saturday is the day we have to do everything we haven’t done before – like pack.  We are off to Buenos Aires, and looking forward to our Argentina tours!  We will be visiting Iguazu Falls, Bariloche, Villa Angostura, and places in between.

Well, Big Saturday involved marathon laundry duty, two trips to the North County Fair mall – first time to pick up sunglasses that were ready and the second for a new iPod.

Where IS my original iPod, you ask? Maybe at the gym? Maybe tucked away in a pocket somewhere? Who knows? But we couldn’t find it – so I went and got another one – RED this time so part of the money goes to charity. It’s just not possible to do three weeks of jogging without my iPod – so, there you go!

[cmamad id=”1147″ align=”floatleft” tabid=”display-desktop” mobid=”display-desktop”]Of course, I also hit Petco for enough doggy chew bones to partially assuage the guilt of leaving the short ones, Corgis – Louie and Rosie.  The rest of the day was many errands, much packing and vast updating of lists.

We got up this morning with the alarm at 3:50am. Mike was coming to drive us to the airport at 4:45 and we finally made it out the door at 4:10am. Due, I must admit, to the fact that I left things to be done this morning – oh dear!

How to consolidate down to TWO carry-ons when I have a computer bag, a purse and an actual carry-on? It eventually worked because JB had very little in HIS carry-on so he inherited some of mine.

The flight was easy – JB used a complimentary day of in-flight Internet access on Gogo and watched CBS Sunday Morning on Slingbox, and then watched the movie “Dillinger” which I will NEVER want to see. He said it’s too long, but Johnny Depp was good.

I read my book “Three Cups of Tea” (on Kindle – which I love) and watched ESPN Sports Center – very fun. Uneventful flight.

Are we tech nerds?

[thumbnail]The Chargers play the Cowboys at 4:15EST. If it’s on the TV, we’ll watch it on the big screen. If it’s not, we’ll watch it on Slingbox. This was the actual purpose of getting Sling. Our plane to Buenos Aires doesn’t leave until 7:40pm – so it’s a football afternoon – cloudy, rainy and fogged in at Atlanta. Very cozy. Just perfect. We’re SO GLAD to be on the road!

Fast forward — Here we are in Atlanta. It’s 2:45pm on Sunday afternoon. We’re ensconced in the Delta Sky Lounge on Concourse E in very comfy chairs – watching the New Orleans/Atlanta game. Reggie Bush just scored another TD. Go Saints (San Diegans love the Saits because of Drew Brees)!

Buenos Aires, more Argentina tours – next stop!

See you later! — Carol
